  • Sausages: My favorite sausages are either kielbasa or smoked turkey. Both are fine as long as they are precooked. Just pick whatever you like best.
  • Veggies: Often I will omit the sweet potatoes and add more peppers and other veggies in place of the sweet potatoes when I make this sausage sheet pan dinner. I like to serve it over rice, so I omit the sweet potatoes and add extra vegetables instead.
  • Olive oil: The extra virgin olive oil I prefer is the best. If you prefer another cooking oil, you can use it.
  • Garlic: If you don’t have fresh garlic cloves, you can use about 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
  • Seasoning: I find that thyme and oregano pair so well together.

Use cauliflower, squash, zucchini, carrots, asparagus, green beans, brussels sprouts, or onions as replacements or additions. Since root vegetables bake longer, cut them a bit smaller than the other vegetables.
